Year 9 and 10 students and their families are invited to attend an information session in Building B at the Cairnlea Campus to explain the senior secondary certificates and course options. This will be followed by an opportunity to speak with teachers to find out more about the subjects that are offered in Years 10-12.
Year 10 students and their families will receive an appointment time for course counselling online via Microsoft Teams with one of our teaching staff. It is imperative that all parents and guardians attend the online meeting with their child to discuss subject selections for 2023 as well as pathway options for VCE, tertiary education, apprenticeships and traineeships. There are no scheduled classes for Year 10 students on this day.
On Thursday 4th August, Year 9 students will have a course counselling meeting on Microsoft Teams to select their Year 10 subjects. Year 9 students will not attend their scheduled classes on that day. Students will be provided with an interview time and are asked to attend online at that time, with their parents or guardians, in order to complete their subject selections. For the remainder of the day, students will be expected to work at home on conducting initial research into their Inquiry project, as instructed by their Inquiry teacher.
The college warmly invites our school community to support our music students and enjoy some spectacular music performances in Building H at the Senior Campus. This event will showcase the hard work and talent of our students, who are demonstrating the college values of ‘Aspire to Achieve’ and ‘Respect Ourselves and Others’. We look forward to seeing you there.
Students and their families who have enrolled in Year 7 for 2023 are warmly invited to attend the Year 7 Information Evening at 6.00pm to receive vital information regarding their enrolment at the College and the upcoming Orientation Day in December. This meeting will be held online on Microsoft Teams.
Students at both campuses will enjoy a sausage sizzle and activities aimed at increasing mental health awareness for RU OK Day. All funds will go to the RU OK Campaign and State Schools Relief.
Year 12 VCAL students will present lessons on RU OK education and strategies to our Year 7 students as part of their VCAL Community Project on mental health in the weeks leading up to this day.
